ENDLOCKE begins - the world begins to fall apart
Mayor Devin Verosa gets his most intelligent scientists in Azure, Dr. Warren Oaindrault and Dr. Aldo Taboo, to come up with a solution to save Azure. Oaindrault and Taboo create two beings Collective and Gaia. They are not strong enough to save Azure, but are made to mate with each other to form a stronger being. They are successful and create a set of twins; Void and Kakurine.
Void has internal struggles and constantly wants to escape. One day, she is seemingly killed, but Oaindrault saves her wanting to find a way to claim her power. She has no memory of her previous life and Oaindrault uses this to convince her she is his wife. Void is haunted by an inner spirit that claims that she needs to give her back her body.
Maxwell comes from the outside world, but is captured by the mayor. He is later freed by a rogue soldier.
Melody, the mayor’s drug addict niece and her girlfriend Brodi are the mayor’s personal assassins. They are sent to track down Maxwell.
On his way home, Doc runs into the mayor outside of his office. As they talk, the office explodes.
Melody visit several locations including Oaindrault’s home. They become suspicious of the lab he has in his house and the woman in his house, but leave without much trouble.
Void runs away from home, but is caught by Oaindrault and taken back.
Meanwhile, Melody gets a call from the mayor informing her of the attack on his office. She suggest that Oaindrault is behind it since he has his own lab and seems to be up to something.
Melody and Brodi catch up to Maxwell, but Melody has an incident and is unable to capture him.
The mayor gets annoyed Melody hasn’t reported back, but his officer, Goggetts, steps up to lead the mission against Oaindrault.
The next day, Oaindrault is still in the process of draining Void’s power when Goggett’s men come to assassinate him. However, Oaindrault tranforms and attacks them.
Mayor Verosa finds out Melody is in the hospital and goes to see her.
